New Zealand

Hello friends! So we have have made it to NZ finally, here we have spent two days in the beautiful town of Queenstown, and then we headed to the Central Otago, in  a town called Roxburgh, where we are now staying with an awesome family. We are working about 5 hours a day doing minor labor work, weeding the gardens, stripping wallpaper, and cleaning up after their recently renovated home. On their 30 acre property they have a lot of cows, a nice dog named Rosey (which Allie loves), and a oversized ginger cat named Frankie. They are very nice people and they are introducing us to a lot of very nice New Zealand traditional meals. We couldn't have asked for a better family for our first WWOOF-ing experience... WWOOF-ing is Willing Workers On Organic Farms. Which is what we are doing besides the fact it is not an organic farm, but a dairy farm. Supposedly WOOF-ing is pretty popular around NZ and Australia.. well hope all is well back home, we were sad to miss Thanksgiving with our families, but we are having an awesome time here, Love you guys and Happy Thanksgiving, hope you all had a good one...

P.S. - Pictures of what were doing will be up soon, so please check back soon and let us know what you think!

Last Post

Hello, and sorry about the last post, for some reason the text did not show up, but here is what it should have said...

"Hello Friends, we finally got our picture problem solved so here are some pictures starting with the plane trip to current, we didn't have time to post a lot of the pictures but here are some for now, please tell us what you think, lots more pictures will be posted up soon, Love you guys...-Allie and Dane"

But as for now every single internet connection we try is extremely slow and difficult to load our pictures up, because they are such big files, but we are resizing them and posting them as we go, sometime it will only let us upload a few at a time, but don't worry we have taken over a thousand photos each and are soon to upload MANY MANY photos so please stay tuned, sorry it has been slow this first week... Love you guys

SYDNEY - Day 2

G'day Mates! We have arrived in Sydney safely, and for the past two days we are still kind of getting over our jet lag... its 18 hours ahead of our normal time, but were getting used to it, its hard being really tired at 7 PM but being wide awake by 6:30 AM.. The first day here we explored downtown Sydney, very tired, it seemed as if the past two days kind of all blurred together. Today was nice though, we woke up around 630, had some breakfast at McDonalds =) (we like the cheap food!) and then walked through the Botanical Gardens, which is massive, then onto the infamous Sydney Opera House, which was pretty awesome to see in real life. The Habour is a really cool part of town. After seeing the Opera House we had to go see something in it, so we bought tickets to a comedy show there, it was by a guy named Sam Simon. It was a VERY interesting thing to see, he was pretty funny, but at most times very hard to understand when Australians speak really fast, but all in all it was a great experience.... Sorry its taken 2 days just to get a post up on this site, but we're having some troubles with our editing program, so we cant put any pictures up just quite yet.. But very soon, we promise we will have plenty of pictures up... so please stay tuned and write us, we'll post another blog soon, LOVE YOU GUYS!
